We know it’s been a while since we’ve posted a blog (shame on us!) Summer is pretty hard, with all the kids at home, and no schooling schedule for anyone to keep us on track. With the return of cooler days (we hope) comes the return of regular posts by us.
If you follow us on Facebook, you’ve seen that we don’t stop knitting and crocheting during the summer. Quite the contrary, we are working on inventory items and holiday gifts for our friends and family. If you’re new to our blog, you may have just clicked over from Expression Fiber Arts! Please say ‘hi’ and let us know what you think! We love to hear from folks, whether it’s about our WiP’s, patterns, blogs, kids, whatever!
Gardening: We’ve had some successes, but it’s been a hot year. In my own garden, I’m only now getting ONE tomato almost ripe enough to pick. It’s been kind of disappointing, but that’s what happens when you don’t plant until AFTER Memorial Day. Oops.
Yarning: We’ve all been busy working on all kinds of projects. I am proud to say that my first original pattern, chronologically, will be published very soon and available in our Etsy shop. I collaborated with Chandi of Expression Fiber Arts on a second pattern, available in her shop and free through August 11! She also has her sock yarn on sale, using the discount code prana2. DEFINITELY go check that out! You won’t regret it. My first original knitted pattern is approximately 2/3 of the way done and will be tested and published sometime soon. No, I don’t have an exact date. I’m a slacker. Obviously.
School: Can’t come soon enough! Haha, I’m kidding. We’ve been running around and busy every day this summer, though not with many of the things I was hoping to do. We’ve done a TON of play dates and visits to the park. We’ve been loving Pokemon Go. And by ‘we’ I mean ‘my husband and I’ since the kids don’t have phones, and Pokemon is a fun throwback for us both.
